Flagstaff Dream Center

See a Hurt, Heal It. See a Need, Fill it.

A faith-based home that helps people find hope, housing, and a new start.

Who we are

The Dream Center helps people through Christ. We walk with people facing homelessness, hunger, poverty, addiction, education needs, and human trafficking.

Our mission is to build a community where lives can change. We help people find their purpose and salvation through Jesus. We want to be a bridge from poverty to a steady, productive life.

“It's not just our job to minister to other peoples' needs. We also have to minister to their potential.”

— Tommy Barnett, Dream Center Founder

Families

Our Transitional Housing Program supports families in spiritual, emotional, educational, financial, and work areas. Parents get tools for a stable future.

Individuals

The Transitions Program helps people move toward independent living. That can include job training, interviews, apartment searching, sober living, and counseling.

Single parents

With partner churches and organizations, we offer classes and a schedule that can work around a job, so parents can step into the future.

Our 15-month program

This is a faith-based transitional housing program. Each person gets personal care, mentorship, and guidance.

Goals include building healthy social skills, finding work, securing independent housing, continuing education, growing as a person, and joining a healthy community.

To join, you need to be sober and drug-free, and willing to change. We do weekly room checks and monthly drug tests.

Housing

21 residential rooms, laundry, chapel, and a community room with kitchen, dining, living, and computer space. Outside: playground, basketball, picnic tables, grill, fire pit, and games.

Life classes

Classes cover budgeting, conflict, grief, trauma, substance recovery, biblical principles, and more.

Community services

Through Adopt-A-Block, we visit neighborhoods to find a need and fill it. That can mean food, hygiene items, picking up trash, and going door to door.

Skill development

We work with partners so residents can learn job skills and trades, and get hands-on work experience.

Become a partner

You can help with a gift, volunteer time, or donated items. Your partnership helps people find safe housing and a new start.
